Course Description: Concepts, investigations process, scene management, required documentation and case management for incidences of homicide, undetermined causes of death, and sudden infant death. Exploration of various federal, state, and local investigative requirements. Follows the Department of Justice National Guidelines for Death Investigations. Also meets the criteria for academic credit recognition from the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators. (3 Lec., 3 Lab.)

This is a Local Need Course.
Course Description: An introduction to crime scene investigation, evidence gathering, and preservation. Utilizing lecture and lab, presents the methods, procedures, techniques for the analysis and preservation of crime scene evidence appropriate for first responders to a crime scene. In the process, students will have "hands on" experience as well as practical understanding of the basic operation of a forensic lab. (3 Lec., 3 Lab.)

This is a Local Need Course.
Course Description: A forensic science lecture course focused on research in adolescent and adult neuropsychology. A study of the latest research from neuroimaging related to biological templates for violence within the brain. The psychotherapy and known offender characteristics will be analyzed and discussed. Also demonstrated are how forensic specialists analyze mens rea (criminal mind), MO (modus operandi), signature, and criminal aftermath activity as part of crime scene analysis. (4 Lec.)
