Course Description: The purpose of this course is to prepare the student to understand the dynamics of loan closing and their impact on real estate loans. This course can be one of several to prepare the individual to become more aware of all the aspects of the mortgage banking industry. This course will help students to develop the understanding and skills necessary to become more effective reviewers of real estate loans. This course integrates all aspects of understanding the federal regulations documentation required and the processing of real estate loans. It incorporates the understanding and importance and purpose of each and every document involved in real estate transactions. Course Description: A study of the unique underwriting issues, procedures and practices that will face a beginning Federal Housing Authority (FHA) residential real estate loan underwriter when dealing with the public on FHA/Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved residential mortgages. Course Description: This course is designed to provide an introduction to mortgage loan underwriting. This will include a review and training in all facets of risk analysis and collateral review. Topics covered in detail will be the conventional underwriting review process. Additional topics will be a basic review of the differences in FHA and VA underwriting requirements and the determination of credit risk and analysis of collateral used in the determination of risk of collateral value used in Sub Prime underwriting.
