Course Description: Introduction to problems and practices of photography for newspapers, and/or fine art purposes/commercial output. Includes instruction in camera and equipment operation and maintenance, film and plate developing, digital and print media. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

FLEX START PREREQUISITE: Computer experience. Lecture time includes 1 hour of MANDATORY lab time. ADDITIONAL MANDATORY LAB HOURS: time options explained in 1st class. Basic digital photography. Intro to Photoshop, lighting and printing. Fun hands-on assignments. Introduction to problems and practices of photography for newspapers, and/or fine art purposes/commercial output.
